Sleepover
Patrick has been blessed with a new best friend. His name is Cody and he was on Patrick's baseball team. He also just happens to live on the street right behind ours. We took two fence posts down so that they can squeeze between them to go back & forth to their houses. They call it the "kid portal." Anyway, Cody is a great kid and his parents are great also. I am so thankful that the first friend that Patrick has chosen comes from a family I would have chosen too. Cody has a sister, Katie, who is eight and most of the time included in the fun. Patrick has spent the night at their house once and tonight we are having a sleepover at our house. Katie wanted to stay too, so here is a picture of all of them getting ready to watch Evan Almighty in the living room. *Notice even Sadie is laying down at the end of the row by Patrick! We are so blessed.

We're Goin' To Disney World!
Yippee! We have booked our first family trip to Disney World in late September. I have never been either, so I am probably just as excited as the kids are. I just had to post this picture. Their hats are courtesy of their cousins, who picked out the hats as souveniers from their last trip to Disney. The girl's hats are monogrammed with their first names on them- so cute! Anyway, I am now busy researching & planning for the trip. Jason thinks I plan too much & set my expectations too high for vacations, but the more I research about Disney, the more I think I am glad I am planning a bit. There is so much cool stuff to see & do. I am always looking for more tips from friends, so send them my way!

Happy Birthday, Abby!
What can I say? My beautiful baby is now a two year old. Early on in my pregnancy with her God told me that she was going to be different. I didn't realize how b/c He wouldn't tell me. Needless to say in the beginning I was fearful. Afraid I would miscarry, then afraid she would have birth defects, then afraid I was going to have her at 25 weeks... I think we all know how she is different now... I am thankful God prepared my heart for Abby's illness. But I know that God also meant that Abby is different because she has this amazing calling on her life. I can't wait to see how God uses her and the wonderful person she will become.
She is so loving and caring- reminding me of Patrick when he was her age. She is also a girlie-girl just like Sarah. Her favorite things are Dora & Boots, the Elmo Sneezes book, her binkie (much to Jason's shagrin), jumping on the trampoline, baby glow worm, and, of course, her Mama.
Looking forward to making her some cupcakes with the kids and declaring today Abby's Day!
